It's Bento, Baby! Asian Soul Kitchen Truck Rolls Out This Week
Another food truck is getting ready to roll out this week. The Asian Soul Kitchen is the creation of food and entertainment industry pros Akiko Konami and Richard Wright, and will offer up traditional Japanese dishes as well as inventive fusion items and soulful fare ("a little bit o' Asian and a little bit o' Soul").
On the menu are things like Yakisoba (a veggie-friendly noodle dish), Nikujaga (hearty beef stew with noodles), Salmon Korkke (a salmon-potato croquette), Lollipop Chicken, Asian Sliders, and Lettuce Wraps, along with side dishes like Southern Collard Greens with Smoked Turkey, Spicy Creamy Mac & Cheese, and Braised String Beans, along with a few rice dishes.
Some mechanical issues put the brakes on their soft-opening weekend plans, but they expect to roll out this week. Check their website for the confirmed schedule, and follow them on Twitter.

sounds excellent, will certainly check them out when they come to venice.
I'd also like to plea with all the burgeoning food trucks: please, why is it so difficult for all of you to bag up my food to go???
I know it's all cool and stuff to eat street food on the street but you know what? sometimes I want to take it home and eat it in a chair, or in front of the monitor. Every time I've asked to bag it to go, I get maybe another piece of foil or wax paper. most recently I asked and got my bbq in a big cardboard flat as if I'd ordered 8 orders of fries at dodger stadium.
I just don't get it. A simple paper bag, that's all. Otherwise keep it coming. You're all doing gods work.
